Barcelona injury, suspension news vs. Villarreal: De Jong, Gavi, Olmo updates

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Villarreal.

Barcelona will be aiming to make it six successive wins at the start of their 2024-25 La Liga campaign when they head to Villarreal on Sunday night.

Hansi Flick's side have made a 100% start to their domestic season, collecting 15 points from five matches to sit at the top of the table, four points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid.

However, the Catalan giants will enter this match off the back of a loss, having been beaten 2-1 by Monaco in their Champions League league-phase opener on Thursday evening.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's clash with Villarreal, who are fourth in the table on 11 points.
