Barcelona are reportedly refusing to allow Luis Suarez to sign for Atletico Madrid on a free transfer.
In the days after his arrival at Camp Nou, Ronald Koeman informed Suarez that he does not feature in his plans for the 2020-21 campaign.
That led to a scenario where Barcelona officials were allegedly happy to hand the Uruguay international a free transfer in order to get the 33-year-old off their wage bill.
However, amid speculation regarding a switch to rivals Atletico, ESPN claims that the Catalan giants now want to financially benefit from any transfer.
The report says that the latest development has infuriated Suarez, who is considering holding a press conference to speak out on his future.
Barcelona are not prepared to pay a portion of Suarez's income if they are to allow the player to link up with a fellow title challenger.
