Toni Kroos admits to slow start in Bayern Munich victory

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos admits that his side didn't have the best of starts as they beat Viktoria Plzen 1-0 in the Champions League.

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has admitted that his side didn't have the best of starts during their slender 1-0 away win over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League this evening.

Bayern were made to work for their victory, having finally grabbed three points through Mario Mandzukic's second-half header.

"We didn't have a great start but created more chances as the match progressed," Kroos told reporters after the match.

"We had some good spells with a lot of possession in midfield but we also gave the ball away too easily when we approached their box."

Bayern find themselves at the top of Group D with qualification for the knockout stages already secured.
