Mattia Destro delighted to end goal drought

Mattia Destro says that he is pleased to have scored his first goal for Bologna against Atalanta BC, but maintains that winning the match was more important.

Bologna forward Mattia Destro has expressed his delight at scoring his first goal for the club.

The 24-year-old joined the Rossoblu in the summer from Roma, but went the opening 10 league games without finding the net.

However, he finally ended his long goalscoring drought by grabbing the second in Bologna's 3-0 win over Atalanta BC this afternoon.

"I really wanted to score a goal and I think the fans for always supporting me," Destro told Sky Sport Italia.

"Apart from the goal, which is for all us strikers, the important thing today was the victory."

Bologna are currently 18th in the Serie A table.
