Gus Poyet believes that it won't be long until Brighton are in the Premier League.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus Poyet is adamant that top-flight football isn't far away for his side.

The Seagulls were beaten 1-0 by Reading on Tuesday night which has left them two points adrift of the play-off places with four games remaining, but Poyet remains in a positive mood after the defeat.

"I take huge encouragement from this performance," said Poyet.

"If we keep the same players fit and if we add some more key, important players, us going to the Premier League will just be a matter of time."

Brighton travel to automatic promotion hopefuls West Ham United on Saturday.
