Brighton & Hove Albion release Adrian Colunga

Spanish striker Adrian Colunga agrees an early termination of his Brighton & Hove Albion contract after finding first-team opportunities limited this season.

Adrian Colunga has left Brighton & Hove Albion after he agreed an early termination of his contract with the Championship side.

The striker, who joined the Seagulls last summer, has not featured in Brighton's matchday squad this season under Chris Hughton.

"Adrian has found his opportunities limited since I came to the club, and even more so with the increase in competition since the summer, so it suits all parties to come to this agreement," Hughton told the club website.

"I would like to wish Adrian well for the future; he's been extremely professional and worked hard in training throughout my time here. On behalf of all at the club, we wish him well."

Colunga scored four goals in 21 appearances for Brighton last term before being sent to Granada on loan for the second half of the season.
