Sports Mole previews the Championship clash between Bristol City and Blackpool at Ashton Gate.

The Championship's basement club Bristol City host Blackpool this weekend hoping to close the gap on Peterborough United and Ipswich Town above them.

Derek McInnes could hand a debut to emergency loan signing Neil Danns, who completed a move to Aston Gate from Leicester City this week.

The Robins are looking to end a run of straight defeats, with last weekend's 2-0 reverse against Charlton Athletic being their seventh on the spin.

Michael Appleton's mid-table Blackpool are without the services of Matt Phillips, who is likely to be out until after Christmas with a toe injury.

The Seasiders, who drew 2-2 with Bolton Wanderers last weekend, could go as high as seventh with a win at Bristol City.

Recent form:

Bristol City: LLLLLL

Blackpool: LDDLWD

Possible lineups:

Bristol City: Gerken; Foster, Fontaine, McManus, Briggs; Skuse, Kilkenny, Pearson, Adomah; Stead, Baldock

Blackpool: Gilks, Crainey, Eardley, Grandin, Ince, Taylor-Fletcher, Sylvestre, Baptiste, Basham, Cathcart, K Phillips

Sports Mole says: 1-2
