Danny Ings loving Premier League life

Burnley's Danny Ings says that he is delighted with how he has adapted to life in the Premier League following a goal-laden spell in the Championship last term.

Burnley hitman Danny Ings has revealed that he is delighted with how he has adapted to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old scored twice in Saturday's 2-1 win away to Stoke City to bring his tally to three since recovering from an early-season hamstring injury.

Ings, who scored over 20 Championship goals last season, says that his three-week layoff was a blessing in disguise, and claims to be thrilled with his transition to top-flight football.

"I'm enjoying my football and everyone knows that I'm at my best when I have a smile on my face. I'm going out and knowing I'm going to score goals and be a problem," he told The Guardian.

"I feel like I'm taking everything in my stride. I knew goals would not come as frequently as last year. I think I'm coping with the league well and that my form, touches and all-round game are improving every week, and now I'm getting goals as well.

"The hamstring injury is probably the best thing that could have happened to me. My form since then has been a lot better. It's clear to see I'm improving and getting stronger."

Sean Dyche's side sit 19th in the Premier League table, one point adrift of safety.
