Burnley boss Sean Dyche: 'We need a killer instinct'

Burnley boss Sean Dyche believes that his side need to develop a "killer instinct" if they want to achieve promotion this season.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche believes that his side need to find a "killer instinct" if they want to reach the Championship playoffs.

Martin Paterson rescued a point for the Clarets against Peterborough in their 2-2 draw at London Road after a Tommy Rowe double looked to have given the Posh the win.

Dyche told reporters: "The thing we have to improve on is that killer instinct.

"There are other factors because there are 11 others out there trying to stop you, but the next level is to ask the players to manage a game all the way through.

"As ever, I'm greedy for more because we all want to be up there. We talk about winning all the time here and the invaluable quality today is that we kept on going."

Burnley are currently seventh in the Championship and are four points behind sixth-place Middlesbrough, who occupy the final playoff spot.
