Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Burnley could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Champions League hopefuls Everton.

Burnley will be without Ashley Barnes for the trip to Everton on Saturday evening, with the striker absent due to a thigh injury.

Either Jay Rodriguez or Matej Vydra, who started against Arsenal last weekend, should lead the line alongside top goalscorer Chris Wood.

Sean Dyche will hand late fitness tests to left-back Charlie Taylor and midfielder Jack Cork, but the match may come too soon for Cork to recover from a tight hamstring.

Dutchman Erik Pieters is likely to come into the side if Taylor is not fit to start, while Josh Brownhill is set to keep his place in central midfield alongside Ashley Westwood, in place of Cork.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Robbie Brady recovered from injury to play a part in Burnley's draw with the Gunners, with the Icelandic winger the most likely to feature in Dyche's starting XI this weekend.

Dwight McNeil, who has scored just one goal and provided three assists so far this campaign, is expected to keep his place in the starting lineup on the left wing.

Burnley possible starting lineup: Pope; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters; Gudmundsson, Brownhill, Westwood, McNeil; Rodriguez, Wood
