Burnley boss Sean Dyche will not panic buy players

Sean Dyche says that he will not make quick additions to his Burnley side following an injury to Ross Wallace.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has insisted that he will not make any hasty moves into the transfer market, following an injury to Ross Wallace.

The Scotland winger will be out of action for several months after the club revealed that he is due to undergo surgery on his knee.

Despite the transfer window closing in 10 days' time, Dyche has said that he is prepared to wait for the right player to become available.

"We can't guarantee anything and the time issue of that is mostly out of our hands because of other issues," he told Burnley's official website.

"But the loan window opens a week after the transfer window closes, so there is a scope to not think everything has to be done yesterday.

"On the other hand, we do want to increase the quality and numbers within the squad, so there is an importance on that."

The Clarets face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship on Saturday.
