Saturday's Championship predictions including QPR vs. West Brom

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including QPR vs. West Brom.

Cardiff vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Blackburn Rovers make the trip to South Wales to take on Cardiff City looking to keep the pressure on the clubs sitting in the automatic promotion places.

While Rovers sit in third position in the Championship standings, the home side are four points clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Cardiff City 1-3 Blackburn Rovers

Having got the better of Preston in the FA Cup, Cardiff will fancy their chances of getting at least a draw from this fixture. However, defeat to Wigan should rid Blackburn of any complacency, and we are backing Rovers to run out relatively comfortable winners.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Luton vs. Bournemouth (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Championship leaders Bournemouth will be aiming for a fourth successive victory when they travel to Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.

The Cherries are currently one point ahead of second-place Fulham having played a game more, while the Hatters are 16th – the lowest they have been in the table this season.

We say: Luton Town 0-2 Bournemouth

Bournemouth will be keen to prove that they are fully over their mid-season blip and we think the Cherries will be victorious here. Luton returned to action with a confidence-boosting win over fourth tier opposition last weekend but this is a different challenge entirely.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Derby vs. Sheff Utd (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two in-form Championship teams who currently sit in the bottom half of the table will lock horns on Saturday afternoon, as basement club Derby County welcome Sheffield United to Pride Park.

The Rams have won their last two league games on home soil by 1-0 scorelines, while the Blades have claimed maximum points in each of their last three away matches on the road.

We say: Derby County 1-1 Sheffield United

Both Derby and Sheffield United will be keen to brush aside their FA Cup exits and build on their positive momentum in the Championship with another three points this weekend.

However, as there is little to separate these two in-form sides, a score draw could be on the cards at Pride Park.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Fulham vs. Bristol City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fulham will look to stay within touching distance of Championship leaders Bournemouth when they play host to Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.

At a time when the Cottagers are one point adrift of top spot, the visitors occupy 15th position in the standings.

We say: Fulham 3-0 Bristol City

While Bristol City held their own against the same opponents last weekend, we cannot see anything but a home win. The visitors may keep it competitive for a time, but we feel that Fulham will eventually post a comfortable three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Huddersfield vs. Swansea (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Huddersfield Town will aim to protect their place in the Championship playoffs when they welcome Swansea City to the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.

The Terriers are currently sixth in the table but have played at least one game more than all of the chasing pack, while the Swans are down in 17th position.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-1 Swansea City

This is a tricky game to call and we cannot see past a draw. Huddersfield are the form team but Swansea will be determined to get back to winning ways and start climbing back up the table after over a month without a league game.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Middlesbrough vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Middlesbrough manager Chris Wilder on November 23, 2021© Reuters

Middlesbrough return to Championship action on Saturday afternoon looking for the victory which will keep the pressure on the teams in the playoff places.

Meanwhile, Reading visit the Riverside Stadium on the back of a 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Fulham, leaving the Royals very much at risk of dropping into the relegation zone.

We say: Middlesbrough 3-0 Reading

On the back of the last two matches, the last thing that Reading would have wanted was a long trip up North to face the in-form team in the division. While Reading can play without expectations, Boro should have more than enough to cruise to victory at the Riverside Stadium.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Millwall vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Nottingham Forest's head coach Steve Cooper on October 19, 2021© Reuters

Nottingham Forest square off against Millwall at The Den on Saturday afternoon looking for a much-needed victory after two successive defeats.

While Forest occupy ninth position in the Championship standings, their opponents are just one point adrift of them while possessing a game in hand.

We say: Millwall 1-2 Nottingham Forest

Even in defeat, Millwall gave a good account of themselves against Palace last weekend. Nevertheless, Forest have regained some of their previous momentum, and should have the tools to win this contest by the odd goal in three.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Peterborough vs. Coventry (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Championship strugglers Peterborough United host out-of-form Coventry City at London Road on Saturday afternoon.

The Posh are currently 22nd in the table and three points adrift of safety, while the Sky Blues have fallen away from the playoffs and are now 10th.

We say: Peterborough United 2-2 Coventry City

With both teams in poor league form but buoyed by cup wins last weekend, they will each feel confident of a result here. Coventry will be favourites, but the Sky Blues' away form is cause for concern so we are predicting an entertaining draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Preston vs. Birmingham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bury manager Ryan Lowe pictured in December 2018© Reuters

Preston North End will welcome fellow mid-table outfit Birmingham City to Deepdale for their Championship encounter on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides head into this fixture off the back of defeats in the third round of the FA Cup, with the Lilywhites losing to Cardiff City, while the Blues suffered defeat at the hands of League One outfit Plymouth Argyle.

We say: Preston North End 1-0 Birmingham City

Both sides played out a goalless draw at St Andrews earlier this season, and another low-scoring affair could be on the cards this weekend.

With Birmingham struggling to pose a threat in the final third, Preston should do enough to secure a slender victory on home soil.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

QPR vs. West Brom (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Promotion hopefuls Queens Park Rangers and West Bromwich Albion will lock horns at Loftus Road for their Championship contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Baggies, who sit one place and one point above the Hoops, came from behind to secure all three points in September's reverse fixture, thanks to Karlan Grant's brace in the final 15 minutes.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 2-2 West Bromwich Albion

Nine of the last 11 meetings between QPR and West Brom have seen both teams score and another contest with plenty of goalmouth action could be on the cards on Saturday.

A win for either side would greatly benefit their promotion push, but as there is little to separate these two teams, they may have to settle for an entertaining score draw at Loftus Road on this occasion.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
