How Chelsea could line up against Videoton

Sports Mole predicts how Chelsea could line up for the visit of Hungarian champions Videoton in the Europa League.

Maurizio Sarri is expected to rotate his side on Thursday evening when Chelsea welcome Hungarian champions Videoton to Stamford Bridge in the Europa League.

The Hungarian visitors are among the lowest-ranked sides to have made it to the competition proper and are not expected to pose too much of a threat in this Group L tie.

Having kept changes to a minimum for the 1-0 win at PAOK in the last round, Sarri could now recall a number of fringe players as he gives his regulars a well-deserved rest.

Ahead of Thursday's match in West London, Sports Mole looks at the options available to Sarri.

Possible CHE XI vs. VID

Out: Marco van Ginkel (knee)
Doubtful: Ruben Loftus-Cheek (shin), Pedro (shoulder), Andreas Christensen (illness)

Pedro injured his shoulder in that victory over PAOK and has not featured since, while Loftus-Cheek's latest injury setback has seen him miss out on valuable minutes over the past month.

With Pedro likely to sit out the visit of Vidi, and the likes of Willian and Eden Hazard surely being given the night off, there are places up for grabs out wide in Chelsea's forward line.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is in contention to feature from the off, as is Victor Moses, although one of those players will have to play out of position if they are both selected.

There could be a recall through the middle for Alvaro Morata, meanwhile, with the out-of-form striker taking over from Olivier Giroud, while Willy Caballero may be given just a second competitive outing of the season in place of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Elsewhere, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley and Ethan Ampadu are all in contention to feature in midfield, and Emerson Palmieri and Davide Zappacosta are options at full-back.
