Sacked Chelsea boss Graham Potter reportedly rejects the opportunity to secure an immediate return to the dugout with Leicester City.

Graham Potter reportedly has no interest in becoming the next manager of Leicester City.

On Sunday afternoon, the Foxes announced that a decision had been made to end Brendan Rodgers's time in the King Power Stadium dugout.

Just hours after that development, Chelsea revealed that they had parted company with Potter, a consequence of the Blues dropping into the bottom half of the Premier League table.

In a statement, the West Londoners said that Potter would continue to assist with the upcoming transition, a role which has seemingly led to Bruno Saltor being handed the reins on a temporary basis.

Nevertheless, despite the disappointment over his spell at Stamford Bridge, the Englishman remains an attractive option for many teams in England's top flight.

From Leicester's perspective, they need to find a new manager as soon as possible with the club currently sitting in the relegation zone.

Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell have been placed in interim charge for Tuesday's fixture with Aston Villa, but a wide array of names are being linked with a switch to the East Midlands outfit.

According to The Sun, Potter will not remain among the potential candidates to replace Rodgers this season.

The report claims that Potter fully intends to have a break from management until the summer, where he will realistically have more options in front of him.

With an alleged approach having been turned down, Leicester are left to look for alternatives with it being said that four other names have been mentioned within their hierarchy.

Former Liverpool, Newcastle United and Everton boss Rafael Benitez is said to be a candidate, as is ex-Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch.

Ralph Hasenhuttl and Adi Hutter - formerly of Southampton and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively - are also allegedly being considered by Leicester chiefs.

Potter may enter the running for the Spurs job, particularly if Chelsea are able to beat their London rivals to Julian Nagelsmann.
