Jose Mourinho: 'Manchester City have been lucky'

Jose Mourinho dismisses suggestions that Manchester City are the best team in the world by calling Manuel Pellegrini's side lucky.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that Manchester City have enjoyed a lot of luck with refereeing decisions this season.

Tottenham Hotspur's Tim Sherwood claimed that Manuel Pellegrini's side were the best team in the world after being beaten 5-1 by the Premier League leaders on Wednesday evening.

However, Mourinho was eager to dismiss Sherwood's claims ahead of his team's meeting with City on Monday.

"Maybe, for the Tottenham manager, the planet is England," Mourinho told reporters. "You will see in the Champions League. You will see in a couple of months.

"They are lucky. The reality is they have many crucial decisions in their favour."

City will face Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.
