The agent of Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has affirmed that his client is not guaranteed to move to Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer.
The versatile Austrian has confirmed that he will be leaving Bavaria when his deal expires in June, and an intense battle for his signature is set to commence between several top European clubs.
Real Madrid and Barcelona were originally thought to be Alaba's two favoured destinations, after a recent report claimed that the Bayern stalwart had rejected the opportunity to move to Chelsea.
However, agent Pini Zahavi has confirmed that nothing is set in stone just yet, telling Diario AS: "David has to choose who wins the race. But we are still talking with other clubs. There is no deadline."
Real Madrid are understood to have a verbal agreement in place with Alaba, but the La Liga champions would likely have to offload one or both of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos in order to free up space and funds.
Alaba has remained an integral player in Hansi Flick's system despite his imminent departure, bagging two goals and one assist from 24 Bundesliga appearances so far during his farewell campaign.
As well as interest from the Premier League and La Liga, Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be keeping a close eye on developments surrounding Alaba's future.
