Barcelona have reportedly received a boost in their bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
The 30-year-old is out of contract with Chelsea next summer, and although his agent has confirmed that the player wants to remain at Stamford Bridge, a new deal is yet to be agreed.
With Jorginho's future appearing to be uncertain, Barcelona have emerged as a contender to sign the Italy international.
According to The Mirror, they have been handed a boost in their pursuit, with Gerard Pique's retirement set to save the club between £44m and £65m.
Barcelona are believed to be looking to complete two new signings in the January transfer window, with Jorginho believed to be one of their targets.
While the Catalan giants have identified Athletic Bilbao defender Inigo Martinez as a replacement for Pique, they are willing to make a £22m offer plus add-ons to bring Jorginho to La Liga.
Barcelona could face competition for the Italy international, with AC Milan credited with showing an interest.
