Chelsea to exercise £13m Jeremie Boga buy-back clause?

Chelsea are reportedly ready to exercise their option to re-sign Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo later in 2020.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly contemplating whether to re-sign Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo.

During his time at the Blues, Boga made just one Premier League start, spending the majority of time on loan at Rennes, Granada and Birmingham City respectively.

However, since completing a permanent switch to Sassoulo in 2018, the Ivorian has contributed 11 goals from 49 appearances in Serie A.

According to the Daily Mail, Lampard is now considering whether to take up the option to re-sign the 23-year-old during the next transfer window.

Having allowed Sassuolo to sign the winger for just £2.5m, Chelsea inserted a clause so that they could secure a reunion with the player for £12.8m.

Officials from the respective clubs are said to have already held discussions regarding a potential deal.
