Fredy Guarin: 'I would prefer Inter Milan stay'

Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin reveals that he would prefer to stay at the Serie A club, despite reported interest from Chelsea.

Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin has admitted that his agent has held talks with Chelsea regarding a potential move in the January transfer window.

Guarin has been linked with a switch to either Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur next month, but the Colombian has insisted that he is eager to remain at the San Siro.

The 27-year-old told reporters: "I haven't spoken to Jose Mourinho. My agent has done that. I hope that Inter are thinking about how much that I really want to stay here.

"There is something going on, I can definitely not deny that. But now I focus only on Inter and to do well here, we'll see in the future."

Guarin helped Inter to a 1-0 victory in the Milan derby on Sunday evening.
