Head coach Thomas Tuchel suggests that Chelsea remain interested in signing Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland.
The Blues were keen on adding the Norway international to their squad during the summer transfer window before being quoted a price of over £150m.
While the European champions have since signed Romelu Lukaku, Tuchel has hinted that club officials and himself still hold conversations about attempting to bring the 21-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to Bild, Tuchel said: "We have talked about Haaland a couple of times also in the transfer window. It looked unrealistic and not possible to do.
"Of course we talk about regularly about him because he is a fantastic player and a profile at Dortmund, which is a big rival for us in the Champions League.
When addressing the possibility of a partnership with Lukaku, Tuchel added that he would have "no problem" with using the pair in tandem.
The majority of European football's top clubs will likely attempt to sign Haaland when a release clause becomes active in 2022.
