Jordan Henderson: 'We are not tired'

England Under-21 captain Jordan Henderson insists that the team will have no problem with 'motivation' in the European Championships this summer.

England Under-21 captain Jordan Henderson has insisted that the team will be "motivated" in the European Championships this summer.

Stuart Pearce's side, who open their campaign against Italy on Wednesday, are among the favourites to claim the title in Israel.

"The lads have been brilliant getting here over two years, but now it's important we do the job right now and finish it off well," he told BBC Sport.

"This is a huge tournament. You can see over the past few years some of the best players in the world have played in this tournament so it is big.

"Everybody will be excited and definitely, definitely motivated going into the games. Certainly not tired. No problem."

Henderson impressed for Liverpool in the latter stages of the season.
