Roy Hodgson: 'No debuts from the start'

No debutant will be in the England starting lineup for tomorrow's friendly against Norway, according to manager Roy Hodgson.

Roy Hodgson has confirmed that there will be no England debuts from the start of tomorrow night's friendly against Norway.

The Three Lions boss included Jack Colback, Fabian Delph and Danny Rose in his squad for the first time and speculation had suggested that at least one of that trio would be included in the starting lineup at Wembley.

However, with midfielder Colback ruled out through injury, Hodgson has revealed that every player that takes to the pitch from the beginning will have previously been capped.

The starting lineup will be a young one. It will contain some interesting talents and has enormous potential," he told reporters. "There will be no one making their debut from the start but there will be one or two players who won't have had many starts."

Against the Norwegians, England will be captained by Wayne Rooney for the first time since his appointment to the role.
