Mario Gomez has been handed his home debut for Fiorentina against Catania in their Serie A clash this evening.
Gomez is joined in attack by Giuseppe Rossi for the second consecutive match as Fiorentina look to get their league campaign off to a winning start.
David Pizarro has also recovered sufficiently from an injury and passed a late fitness test to earn his place in the starting lineup for the hosts.
Catania, meanwhile, hand debuts to Fabian Monzon and Panagiotis Tachtsidis while Gonzalo Bergessio is named up front on his own.
