Fulham captain Tom Cairney has passed a late fitness test to start his side's opening game of the new Championship season against Norwich City this afternoon.
The Scotland international had been struggling with a knee injury, but returned to training on Thursday and has been deemed fit to start at Craven Cottage on the opening weekend of the campaign.
Cairney captains a team which also includes debutant Oliver Norwood alongside him in midfield, although fellow summer signings Aboubakar Kamara, Ibrahima Cisse and Lucas Piazon only make the bench.
Norwich are also able to include their skipper from the start after Russell Martin overcame a leg injury in time for today's match, but fellow doubts Josh Murphy, Ivo Pinto and Wes Hoolahan are only deemed fit enough for the bench.
New Norwich boss Daniel Farke has handed debuts to no fewer than seven summer signings in his first competitive team selection since taking charge at Carrow Road.
Angus Gunn, who has rejoined the club on loan from Manchester City, starts in goal while Marley Watkins, Mario Vrancic, Christoph Zimmermann, Harrison Reed, James Husband and Marcel Franke are also named in the XI.
