David Holdsworth leaves Lincoln City

Lincoln City and manager David Holdsworth part company by mutual consent.

Lincoln City have parted company with manager David Holdsworth by mutual consent.

The Imps, who have lost five of their past six games, currently sit 18th in the Blue Square Bet Premier Division.

"The board of directors wish to announce that manager David Holdsworth has today left the club by mutual consent," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The board thank David for his efforts during his tenure and wish him every success for the future."

Holdsworth, who was appointed by Lincoln in October 2011, won 21 of his 71 games in charge.
