Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Thursday's Europa League clash with Toulouse.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Cody Gakpo is available to play in Thursday's Europa League group-stage clash with Toulouse at Anfield.

Gakpo has missed the last three games in all competitions with a hamstring injury, but the Dutch forward has since taken part in full training and will be in contention to return to Klopp's side against Toulouse.

However, Andrew Robertson is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing shoulder surgery, while Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic both remain in the treatment room with respective hip and calf injuries; teenage attacker Ben Doak (muscle) is also set to miss out on Thursday.

Liverpool are able to welcome back Curtis Jones from a domestic suspension, and the midfielder will be looking to force his way into the first XI ahead of Dominik Szoboszlai, who could begin on the substitutes' bench for the third successive Europa League group game.

Both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kostas Tsimikas could retain their places at full-back, but Klopp may consider making changes in central defence, with Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah all pushing to start ahead of Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.

Ryan Gravenberch, who scored his first Liverpool goal in the 2-0 win over Union SG earlier this month, has started three of the last five matches in all competitions and the Dutchman could continue in centre-midfield, while Wataru Endo will battle with Alexis Mac Allister for the deep-lying midfield role.

After scoring a brace and playing the full match in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Merseyside rivals Everton last weekend, it remains to be see whether star attacker Mohamed Salah will start or be rested by Klopp on Thursday, while Darwin Nunez, along with Gakpo, is in contention to return to the front three at the expense of either Diogo Jota or Luis Diaz.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold; Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Jones, Endo, Gravenberch; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
