Mohamed Salah: 'I'm happy at Liverpool'

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah insists that he is happy at Anfield amid rumours linking him with Real Madrid.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has insisted that he remains happy at Anfield amid rumours linking with him a big-money move to Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a stunning debut season for the Reds since his £37.8m switch from Roma last summer, scoring 33 goals in all competitions to date.

As a result, La Liga giants Real Madrid are thought to have expressed an interest in the Egyptian, whose previous Premier League experience was an underwhelming spell with Chelsea between 2013 and 2015.

"In Chelsea I didn't play, so I didn't have my chances," he told ESPN Brazil. "I said to all my friends, I think I said it on many interviews as well, that I wanted to come back.

"I like the Premier League I lot. I feel it has my style of football. I like to play in the Premier League.

"I said since day one here that I'm happy here at Liverpool and I want to show my football here.

"If you look at me now and five years ago, everything has changed - mentally, physically, everything."

Salah is under contract at Anfield until 2022.
