Lyon have earned a 1-0 victory over Rijeka in the Europa League this evening, thanks to a second-half goal from Clement Grenier.
The game's first real chance didn't come until midway through the half when Jimmy Briand unleashed an effort on goal, which was stopped by the Rijeka goalkeeper.
Lyon went close again minutes later when Grenier had an effort on goal saved by keeper Ivan Vargic, who produced another save right on the stroke of half time to keep the scores level going into the break.
The visiting side spurned a good chance to take the lead after half time as Mehmed Alispahic missed the target having found room in a dangerous area.
They were then made to pay as Steed Malbranque's cross from the left found Grenier who powered forward to head past a helpless Vargic, as the only goal of the game proved to be a vital one for Lyon.
