How Manchester United could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash between Manchester United and Wolves, Sports Mole looks at how the Reds could line up at Old Trafford.

Manchester United will be looking to extend their winning run to four games when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho's side ended August having suffered back-to-back defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, but three successive wins on the road have provided the Portuguese with a break from negative headlines.

United had made their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign after three outings this season, but victory this weekend would keep the North-West giants in contention with neighbours Manchester City.

Mourinho has a number of selection issues ahead of welcoming the newly-promoted side, and here Sports Mole looks at how his side could line up at the Theatre of Dreams.

Possible MNU XI vs. WOL
Out: Nemanja Matic (suspended), Marcus Rashford (suspended), Marcos Rojo (knock)
Doubtful: Ander Herrera (ankle), Phil Jones (thigh)

Mourinho will be forced to make a change in midfield with Nemanja Matic having been dismissed for two yellow cards in last week's 2-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road.

Ander Herrera could come back into the team providing that he recovers from an ankle injury, while Marouane Fellaini is another option to feature alongside Fred.

Both Juan Mata and Alexis Sanchez started the Champions League fixture with Young Boys on the bench, but the short turnaround could lead to the duo being recalled to the first XI.

Rashford will continue to serve his domestic suspension, while Anthony Martial may start on the bench having completed his first 90 minutes in a United shirt this season.

Antonio Valencia appears to be a certain starter with Mourinho only resting the club captain for the Champions League trip to Switzerland due to Young Boys' artificial pitch.
