David Moyes: 'I have full support of Manchester United players'

Manchester United manager David Moyes insists that he has the full support of his players, despite rumours of dressing room unrest.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has insisted that he has the full backing of his players following reports that there is unrest within the dressing room.

Rumours have emerged this week claiming that the squad are becoming frustrated with the Scotsman's training methods.

Former United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich also believes that player-coach Ryan Giggs has fallen out with Sir Alex Ferguson's successor.

When asked in Friday's press conference whether he has the full support of his players, Moyes told reporters: "Definitely. I've got no reason to suggest anything else. They're great, they train great, we work well together, we have a great relationship as far as I'm concerned.

"But what I want is for us to have a winning team. A lot of people are saying that, with the quality we've got, why are we not performing? There are reasons.

"There's a new manager and everybody is well aware that there will have to be changes in the squad, and that will take time. People need to understand that it's not just going to happen overnight."

The ex-Everton boss has also praised the club's fans, despite some supporters' plans to hire a plane carrying an anti-Moyes message over Old Trafford on Saturday.
