Manchester United boss David Moyes talks up the performances of goalkeeper David de Gea.

Manchester United boss David Moyes has talked up the recent performances of goalkeeper David de Gea.

The Spanish keeper has turned in some impressive showings of late, with Moyes stating that some of his stops have won the club a number of points.

"His save at Sunderland [to deny Emanuele Giaccherini in October] comes to mind and he did it again in the Hull game, when he made some good saves for us," said the Scot, according to the Daily Star.

"He is also coming and taking crosses and being brave and we want him to do that.

"I look around and he is one of five or six young players in the team who are going to be part of the next five or six years and that means he can only get better."

United currently find themselves in sixth position in the Premier League table.
