Brandon Williams is determined to become Manchester United's first-choice left-back next season.

Brandon Williams has said that he is determined to become Manchester United's first-choice left-back under Erik ten Hag during the 2022-23 campaign.

The 21-year-old has spent the 2021-22 season on loan with Norwich City, making 27 appearances for the Canaries, including 24 outings in the Premier League.

Williams is set to return to his parent club this summer and will face competition from Luke Shaw and Alex Telles next season if the pair both remain at Old Trafford under Ten Hag.

However, the Englishman is determined to secure the left-back position next term.

"What I want to do next year is play for Manchester United at left-back and that's my job," Williams told Norwich's matchday programme. "That's what I'm determined to do because it's my life and I'll do anything for that. I know I can play in this league, and I know I can get to the top and that's what I want to do."

Williams, who still has more than two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, has made 50 appearances for Man United in all competitions, contributing one goal and three assists in the process.

Shaw is expected to miss the remainder of the season following a leg operation, while Telles, who has enjoyed a recent run in the side, continues to be linked with a summer move due to his struggles this term.
