Antonio Conte identifies the first player that he wants to bring to Manchester United in the event that the Italian becomes the club's new head coach, according to a report.

Antonio Conte has reportedly already identified the first player that he wants to bring to Manchester United in the event that the Italian becomes the club's new head coach.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future at Old Trafford is currently being called into question amid a tough run of form for the 20-time English champions.

Man United are said to be fully behind the Norwegian for the moment, but the situation could change rapidly if the team continue to pick up poor results in the coming weeks.

Conte has been strongly linked with the position at the helm, and according to Fichajes, the Italian has identified Nicolo Barella as his ideal first signing at Old Trafford.

The Italy international starred under Conte at Inter Milan last season and has also been in impressive form at the start of the 2021-22 campaign, scoring once and providing six assists in 10 appearances.

The 24-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool, has a contract at San Siro until June 2024, but the Serie A champions are working to sign the midfielder to an extension.
