Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremie Frimpong and Moussa Diaby.
While the Red Devils have been strongly tipped to pursue a centre-forward this summer, Erik ten Hag is also said to be in the market for a new right-back and winger ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Both Frimpong and Diaby have established themselves as integral members of Leverkusen's first-team squad, but their long-term futures at the club have been called into question.
Indeed, the Bundesliga duo have two years remaining on their contracts and German news outlet Kicker, via the Daily Mail, claims that Leverkusen are willing to cash in on both players who have been 'given the green light' to leave this summer.
The report adds that a contract extension for either player has been ruled out, with Diaby said to have expressed his desire to leave and Frimpong also keen to take the next step in his career.

Leverkusen have historically sold players before they enter the final 12 months of their contracts, most notably recouping £71m from the sale of Kai Havertz to Chelsea in 2020.
It is thought that Frimpong is free to leave Leverkusen if they receive a 'suitable offer', with a recent report claiming that the right-back is valued at around £34m.
The Dutchman, who came through the youth ranks at Manchester City, is keen on a return to England and Ten Hag is said to be an admirer of the 22-year-old.
Since joining Leverkusen from Celtic in January 2021, Frimpong has made 95 appearances for the German side across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and registering 20 assists.
Frimpong excelled as a right wing-back in the 2022-23 season and notched up nine goals and 11 assists in 48 games across the Bundesliga, Champions League, Europa League and DFB-Pokal.

Diaby, meanwhile, was also a key attacking threat for Xavi Alonso's side down the right flank and contributed with 14 goals and 11 assists in 48 appearances in 2022-23.
The 23-year-old's impressive form has seen him work his way back into the France national team squad and he has also attracted interest from a host of top European clubs including Man United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Diaby, who began his career at PSG, has spent the last four years at Leverkusen and is valued by the German club in the region of £65m.
It is thought that Man United will step up their pursuit of Diaby if they decide to part ways with Jadon Sancho, who has failed to reach the heights expected at Old Trafford since his £75m transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
