The son of former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has been training with Ajax.
Fifteen-year-old Joe van der Sar, who currently plays for amateur side VV Noordwijk, has made an impression on the coaching staff at Ajax, who are keen to sign the young keeper.
"Joe has a number of times trained at Ajax, and he has impressed many," said Noordwijk's head of technical education Timo Gerlof. "We have not had contact with his parents, but Ajax have asked us to participate in this transition."
Before joining Juventus, Fulham and then United, Van der Sar senior spent nine years with Ajax.
