Reading defender Shaun Cummings has insisted that his side want to prove that they deserve to play in the Premier League.
The Royals have yet to win a league game this season but despite languishing in 18th place, Cummings says that Reading want to show that they belong in the Premier League by gaining a result against Liverpool on Saturday.
The 23-year-old told getreading.com: "It's about focusing on what we've got to do. We don't like to think too much into what this Liverpool side can do.
"They've been in the Premier League for a number of years now, so we've got to prove ourselves and show why we deserve to be in the league as well."
Cummings has made three appearances for Reading this season.
