Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Alaves

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Alaves.

Real Madrid will be looking to make it three straight La Liga victories when they travel to Alaves on Saturday afternoon.

Los Blancos have beaten Eibar and Real Sociedad in their last two league matches to keep pace with Barcelona heading into the latest set of fixtures in Spain's top flight.

Barca are not in action until Sunday evening - when they take on Atletico Madrid - meaning that a victory for Madrid in this game would move them to the summit.

Alaves have had longer to prepare for the match, though, with Zinedine Zidane's side playing out a 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of this weekend's clash in Spain's top flight.

Marco Asensio

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Marco Asensio faces a battle to play again this season after suffering a serious knee injury during the team's preparations for the 2019-20 campaign. A timeframe on his return has not yet been set by the club.

Nacho

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 30 (vs. Alaves)

Nacho trained with Madrid on Wednesday as the defender steps up his recovery from a knee injury, and Marca have suggested that the Spaniard could even feature against Alaves this weekend.

James Rodriguez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

James Rodriguez could miss the remainder of 2019 after suffering a knee injury during a training session with Colombia earlier this month. The attacker was allowed to join up with his country despite his injury problems in recent weeks but is now facing an extended period on the sidelines.

Lucas Vazquez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Toe
Possible return date: Unknown

Lucas Vazquez was ruled out of Saturday's clash with Sociedad and Tuesday's European tie with PSG after suffering a fractured toe in his left foot during a session in the gym. As a result, the Spaniard is unlikely to play again until 2020.

Eden Hazard

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Bruised leg
Possible return date: November 30 (vs. Alaves)

There were fears that Eden Hazard had suffered a potentially serious injury during the clash with PSG, but Madrid revealed on Wednesday that the attacker had picked up just a bruised leg. The Belgian is unlikely to be available this weekend, although Los Blancos are yet to officially rule him out.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Madrid have no players suspended for the La Liga fixture.
