Former Real Madrid striker Ivan Zamorano has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-forward Raul Jimenez "is as good [as] or even better" than Karim Benzema.
Jimenez has enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for Nuno Espirito Santo's side, registering 13 goals and six assists from 29 Premier League outings.
Real have been credited with an interest in the Mexico international recently, and Zamorano has expressed his belief that Jimenez would benefit from moving to a bigger club.
In quotes attributed to AS, Zamorano said: "He has the quality to be the starting forward for any team and he should be playing in a better team than Wolverhampton.
"If Real Madrid wants him, he should not say no to that offer, you cannot say no to one of the most important teams in the world.
"I think that Karim Benzema is a great footballer but Raúl is as good or even better than the French striker."
Jimenez will see his current deal with Wolves run out at the end of the 2022-23 season.
