Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has talked up the possibility of the club signing AS Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe this summer.
Mbappe is one of the hottest properties in world football, having burst onto the scene with a string of impressive performances to help Monaco to the Ligue 1 title and the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
A whole host of major European clubs are understood to be interested in the 18-year-old, who is expected to command a fee well in excess of £100m, but Perez believes that the player himself wants to join Madrid.
Perez was more coy on the prospect of Madrid making a move for Borussia Dortmund attacker Ousmane Dembele and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, both of whom are also regarded among the brightest young players in Europe at the moment.
"You need to ask the sporting director. I've seen a little of all three, but I like Mbappe. He can become something important, but the others are also very good," Perez told reporters.
"We know that [Mbappe's] dream is to play for Real Madrid. He has photos with everyone, he has the shirts. Something similar happened with [Marco] Asensio. When I was little I slept in my Real Madrid shirt. Situations like this give us great happiness."
Mbappe scored 26 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions for Monaco last season.
