Former Real Madrid left-back Roberto Carlos urges Neymar to snub former side Barcelona in favour of Los Blancos.

Former Real Madrid left-back Roberto Carlos has suggested that Neymar should snub former side Barcelona in favour of Los Blancos.

The 28-year-old chalked up 105 goals in 186 appearances for La Blaugrana between 2013 and 2017 and has been persistently linked with a move back to Camp Nou.

However, Carlos, who won four La Liga titles during his time at the Bernabeu, has told the Paris Saint-Germain winger to snub his former club and join Zinedine Zidane's side.

"If it were up to me, he would already have been here some time ago," Carlos told Fox Sports Radio. "But life is not how you would like it.

"The great players should always be playing for the best clubs in the world. Real Madrid are a reference for any player. You want to win the Champions League? Come to Real Madrid!"

Neymar has registered 13 goals and six assists for Thomas Tuchel's side in Ligue 1 this season.
