Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill has bemoaned a "frustrating night" for his influential winger Aiden McGeady in the wake of their loss to Scotland.
Although familiar with playing at Celtic Park, the ex-Hoops winger never looked comfortable and was unable to make an impact as his side went on to lose the Euro 2016 qualifier 1-0.
"He's been in excellent form for us," O'Neill is quoted as saying by the Irish Examiner.
"I haven't spoken to him, but for the form he has shown in recent times for us, and matches that he won, particularly in Georgia, and the goals he scored, he had a frustrating time today.
"He would have been a little bit frustrated tonight."
McGeady was one of two Scottish-born players lining up against his country of birth.
