Team News: David de Gea starts for Spain against Russia in U21 Euro opener

Manchester United's David de Gea starts in goal for Spain as they prepare to take on Russia for the start of their Under-21 Euro 2013 campaign.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea will start between the posts for Spain in their Under-21 European Championship opener against Russia.

The 22-year-old will play his first game since clinching the Premier League title with the Red Devils, while former Bolton Wanderers loanee striker Rodrigo starts in attack.

Isco, who has been widely tipped to join Manchester City this summer from Malaga, has been given the nod to start, while Iker Muniain starts up front.

For Russia, Dynamo Moscow striker Andrei Panyukov has failed to make the starting lineup after suffering a knock in training, but the forward has been placed on the bench.
