Ezekiel Fryers: 'I'm becoming more versatile'

Tottenham defender Ezekiel Fryers reveals that he is working to become a more versatile player in order to boost his first-team chances.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ezekiel Fryers has revealed that he is working to become more versatile in order to boost his first-team chances.

The 21-year-old has played across the back four this season during his nine appearances for the club.

Despite admitting that it is difficult to adapt to a number of roles, Fryers is hopeful that he can stay in manager Tim Sherwood's thoughts for the remainder of the campaign.

"I'm learning to play the two positions, full-back and centre-back, and that's a good thing for me," he told the club's official website. "I'm also trying to get used to playing both sides of the defence as well. It's tough, but it's about getting your bearings right and your positioning correct.

"It means I'll be ready should I ever be needed to fill in. I've had a few opportunities this season and I just want to stay in the setup now, keep working hard and whenever the chances come by, try to take them and keep progressing."

Tottenham's next game is at home to Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
