Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leeds United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Leeds United.

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to begin 2021 on a high note when they play host to Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

Jose Mourinho's men were scheduled to face Fulham in a London derby on Wednesday evening, but a coronavirus outbreak in the Cottagers' camp meant that the game had to be postponed.

Spurs have dropped out of the top four after an underwhelming spell of form and currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, but the Lilywhites are only three points off third-placed Leicester City with a game in hand.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's visit of Leeds.

Gareth Bale

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 10 (vs. Marine)

Gareth Bale was forced off in the EFL Cup victory over Stoke City before Christmas and played no part against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend. Mourinho has since conceded that the Real Madrid loanee will be sidelined for "a few weeks" with a calf problem.

Lucas Moura

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: January 2 (vs. Leeds United)

Lucas Moura was nowhere to be seen at Molineux last weekend, and Mourinho revealed that the Brazilian attacker was doubtful for Wednesday's proposed clash with Fulham. The nature of Lucas's injury is unclear, but Mourinho has expressed optimism over his availability for Saturday.

Carlos Vinicius

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: January 2 (vs. Leeds United)

Lucas Moura's compatriot Carlos Vinicius had also been ruled out of the midweek encounter with Fulham before it was called off, but the severity of his unspecified injury has also not been disclosed. Nevertheless, as is the case with Lucas, Vinicius should also be fine for Saturday.

Giovani Lo Celso

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Giovani Lo Celso has played no part in Tottenham's festive fixtures after sustaining a hamstring injury against Leicester City before Christmas. The midfielder is likely to remain on the sidelines for at least another couple of weeks.
