Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has admitted that his side can't afford to make any more costly mistakes ahead of their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
The Black Cats were hammered 8-0 by Southampton two weeks ago in a display littered with errors, while Wes Brown and Vito Mannone were at fault for allowing Arsenal's two goals in their defeat to the Gunners last time out.
The Uruguayan has insisted that his side need to eradicate those mistakes if they are to get their season back on track.
Poyet told the club's official website: "The idea is to go back to basics – a team performing well, being difficult to play against. No mistakes is important, as well as taking advantage of momentum at certain times during the game.
"We know what to expect. The style they've been playing has been settled by Tony Pulis and continued by Neil Warnock. There are moments it's going to be noisy with corners and crosses – we need to cope with that.
"On the other side we need to impose our own game. Probably the team that makes fewer mistakes will have the chance to win the game, so let's make sure it's us."
Sunderland are 18th in the Premier League ahead of their visit to Selhurst Park later today.
