Swansea City's Modou Barrow happy with Nottingham Forest loan experience

Swansea City forward Modou Barrow insists that he enjoyed his brief loan spell with Nottingham Forest.

Swansea City forward Modou Barrow has admitted that his loan spell with Nottingham Forest provided him with a "good experience".

The 22-year-old made four appearances for the Championship club, but he was recently recalled by the Swans following the news that wing-back Wayne Routledge would be missing for the rest of the season through injury.

Despite struggling to make an impact at Forest, Barrow insists that he enjoyed his time with Dougie Freedman's side.

"It was a good experience and I learned a lot," he told Swansea's official website. "Forest is a very good club and they looked after me well.

"I was a bit disappointed to pick up the thigh injury because I missed three or four games, but apart from that I really enjoyed it. You are always learning in football, wherever you go, so I'm sure I will be able to take a lot from the experience going forward.

"They have a very good squad at Forest and probably deserve to be in the playoffs. Unfortunately they have missed out this season, but I'm sure they'll get there next time."

Swansea are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they host Stoke City.
