Garry Monk calls for Victor Moses punishment

Swansea City manager Garry Monk calls on the FA to dish out 'heavy punishment' to Victor Moses for his "blatant dive" in Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Stoke City.

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has urged the Football Association to punish Stoke City winger Victor Moses for his "blatant dive" in Sunday's 2-1 defeat at the Britannia Stadium.

Monk was left seething when referee Michael Oliver awarded Stoke a first-half penalty - which was converted by Charlie Adam - after Moses seemingly went to ground under minimal contact from Angel Rangel.

"It's one of the most blatant dives you will ever see," he told Sky Sports News.

"You can go and watch a million games now and you won't see more of a dive than that and he should be ashamed of himself for diving like that.

"I wouldn't be able to go home to my family and show my face so he should be punished heavily for that."

Wilfried Bony had given Swansea a 34th-minute lead from the penalty spot prior to Adam's equaliser shortly before the break.

The Potters snatched the victory in the final 14 minutes from a Jonathan Walters header to inflict a third defeat in five games on Monk's side, who are without a win since August.
