Tony Pulis calls for West Bromwich Albion reinforcements

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis reveals that he has already spoken with the club's owners about possible transfer targets during the January transfer window.

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has revealed that he has already spoken to the club's owners about possible new arrivals in the January transfer window.

The Baggies distanced themselves from the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over champions Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this evening, bringing an end to a five-match winless streak.

Pulis was pleased with the performance, but is now looking ahead to January for reinforcements going into the second half of the season.

"It was a very good performance, against a very good team," he told Sky Sports News.

"The team showed good character after Leicester scored. The experienced players help us, but I would like to bring some younger players in, to move us on we need to bring some quality in and I have spoken to the Chinese owners.

"Instead of signing five or six players, bring one or two that have quality like Nacer Chadli. I have had a chat with the Chinese owners about bringing good players in over the next few windows, Nacer Chadli came in and has been first class - that is what the club have to do."

West Brom's win lifted them up to 11th in the table, but they are still only three points clear of the relegation zone.
