West Ham United's Enner Valencia to return to action in "two or three weeks"

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic reveals that Enner Valencia is expected to be back in action in "two or three weeks'" time following two months out with a knee injury.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that Enner Valencia is expected to return to action in "two or three weeks" following two months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The 25-year-old, who damaged his knee during the Hammers' Europa League qualifier at the end of July, will return to light training today.

The Ecuadorian issued an apology to the club's medical staff last month after accusing them of failing to support him in his recovery.

When asked for an update on his team's fitness in this morning's press conference, Bilic said: "Enner will join us in parts of training today. It is massive news for us that he is getting closer. If everything goes well it's a matter of two or three weeks for him."

Meanwhile, West Ham are preparing for this Saturday's trip to face Sunderland.
