West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that he failed to complete a number of signings on transfer deadline day.
It has been well documented that the Hammers failed in a bid to loan Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor, but Allardyce has admitted that while he was keen to sign the Togo international, it wasn't just that deal that left him frustrated on Monday evening.
The 60-year-old told reporters: "A lot of moves were blocked for various reasons so I'm not that bothered. From our point of view, it left us a bit frustrated.
"It didn't look like we were going to be active until the very end, but then we picked up five injuries and now we are very short."
West Ham play host to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
